When
you entrust the creation of your memorial to the Cote family, you can
rest assured that you have placed this most important work in the hands
of highly skilled artisans who have been crafting beautiful and lasting
tributes in stone for families in the community for more than 30 years.
However,
our family’s heritage of working in stone goes much deeper…as deep
as the natural beauty of the stone itself.
The
Cote family’s long tradition in the granite business began more than a
century ago, with Luger Camire, a master stonecutter in
Barre, Vermont, the granite center of New England. His skill in
revealing the hidden beauty in stone has set the standard for subsequent
generations of Cote children and associates.
It
was only natural that his daughter, Mariette, who attended the Barre
School of Monument Drafting and Design, and son-in-law, Jean Cote, a
talented stoneworker in Barre, would continue to seek new challenges for
the business. In 1979, the family established Hudson Monuments in
Hudson, New Hampshire.
Their
son, David, following in his father's footsteps, joined the business at
an early age. Today, after years of hands-on experience, David is
helping to bring new ideas and technology to the company, while
maintaining the tradition of quality and service established by his
father and grandfather.
The
Cote family is proud of the position of trust and respect it has earned
in the community, and honored to be selected time and again to help
families and friends create beautiful, lasting tributes to their loved
ones.
We
at Hudson Monuments are committed to the legacy of caring and tradition
of trust, which have been the hallmark of our family and our associates
for more than a century.
